  • No Software Drivers Needed – Host servers that support SAS disk storage will support the SurfRAID TRITON 12S6+ including Windows, Linux, Solaris, MacOS, VMware, Citrix and FreeBSD.
  • Hot Swap Modules – Easily replace disk drives and power supply-cooling fan modules that may fail while the system is running. RAID Controller is also in a toolless removable carrier. In the rare event of a RAID controller failure, the controller can be replaced without losing the data on the drives (including single controller systems).
  • 2U Rackmount Format – Whether it is used in the server room or co-location center, the SurfRAID TRITON 12S6+ Series fits right in.
  • Twelve (12) 6Gbit SAS Drive Bays – High I/O utilization over 12 spindles and support for up to 96 Terabytes of storage. Drives may be upgraded as larger capacities become available.
  • Single or Dual Controllers – Directly connect two servers and split the storage between them. Supports clustering between two Host Servers. 4GB of cache standard on each controller.
  • RAID-6 & 60 – Double Parity & SubArray Support. This allows for 2 simultaneous drive failures without data loss. In the event of a single drive failure there is also no risk of an unsuccessful rebuild due to an unreadable block, as there is with all RAID-5 systems.
  • Web Interface w/ Full Enclosure Management – Power, temperature, fans, RAID controller and voltages are monitored 24 x 7. Administrators can be alerted via SNMP or e-mailed RAID system log, warning and failure information.
